The Air Force paid tribute to its high achievers at the 2003 Air Force Proficiency and Leadership Awards at the Australian War Memorial on May 13.

Flight Lieutenant Rebecca Moore, of No. 2 Air

is delighted to be awarded the ADI Leadership Award for 2003 and the Queen’s Gold Medal for 2003.

Members of No. 38 Squadron, RAAF Base Amberley, with the Duke of Gloucester Cup, the prize for the most proficient flying squadron. CO 38SQN Wing Commander Simon Patterson received the trophy on behalf of the Squadron. RAAF Base Tindal personnel are pleased to receive the Hawker Siddeley Trophy for the most proficient Air Force base.
Group Captain Corrie Metz received the trophy from CAF Air Marshal Angus Houston on behalf of the base. Members of No. 1 Airfield Defence Squadron, RAAF Base Edinburgh, with the Air Force Association Trophy, awarded to
the most proficient Reserve squadron. CO 1AFDS Squadron Leader Richard Harbon accepted the trophy.

awarded to the most proficient unit. The School’s CO, Lieutenant-Colonel Tim Gellel, received the trophy from
CAF on behalf of the unit.
