50th anniversary of No. 1 Recruit Training Unit will be celebrated
at a dining-in on August 4 in the RAAF Base Edinburgh Sergeants
Mess. The event is open to past and present staff members. Tickets

4: The Jazz Combo will play at the RAAF Winter Ball at the
Sergeant’s Mess, RAAF Base Richmond at 7pm.

9: The Chamber Musicians will perform at St Andrew’s Cathedral,
George Street, Sydney, between 12.30-1.30pm. The concert’s theme
will be Eastern European Composers. Performing groups will consist
of the Brass Quintet, Wind Quintet, Clarinet Quartet and Wind
Trio.

10: The Chamber Musicians will perform at St Matthew’s Cathedral,
Windsor, from 11am-noon. The concert’s theme again will be Eastern
European Composers.

12: The Big Band will delight the crowds at Darling Harbour
Jazz Festival between 1-2pm on the Aqua Shell. The performance
is free.

18: The Big Band will entertain at the Russell Officer’s Mess
Ball, Canberra, between 7pm-midnight.

19: The Brass Quintet will perform at 2OCU’s FCI 50th anniversary
dinner at Newcastle City Hall at 6pm.

23: The Concert Band will perform a public concert at St Andrew’s
Cathedral, George Street, Sydney, between 12.30-1.30pm. The concert
will feature Short Ride in a Fast Machine by John Adams and Harry

City of Sale Parade, beginning at Brennan Park, Stawell and Fitzroy

SERVICE to honour indigenous servicemen and women who have played
an active role in serving their country in times of war and peace
will be held at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Memorial,
behind the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, on July 6 from
