PRIME Minister John Howard has thanked RAAF Base East Sale personnel for their work, particularly those who have served in the MEAO.

Mr Howard visited the base on April 19 and addressed about 120 personnel in the No. 32 Squadron hangar.

He also attended the School of Air Traffic Control where he viewed the tower simulator and met CO SATC Wing Commander Mort White and other air traffic controllers recently returned from Baghdad.
