Air Force and other ADF personnel deployed on Operation Catalyst celebrated Easter with low-key services amid helicopter noise, clear blue skies and a blazing sun in Iraq.

For the men and women of Headquarters Joint Task Force 633, Chaplain Ivan Grant provided a Good Friday service in a makeshift setting on a balcony overlooking Baghdad International Airport as the sun set in western Iraq.

Coalition partners also attended the service. Well wishes were passed via telephone to contingent members on behalf of CDF General Peter Cosgrove.

After the service, personnel enjoyed a Good Friday dinner of fresh fish flown in from Kuwait on a routine cargo flight.
