THE ADF soccer teams have won two of the three soccer divisions in the NSW Corporate Games’ Soccer Competition. The fi ve teams also managed to score a second and third place without the opportunity for prior training.

The competition, held in Sydney last month, was part of the Corporate Games’ multi-sports festival, which was designed to bring management and workers together to compete as corporate teams.

Team member Captain Mark Pearson said the quality and standard of ADF players around the country was very high, as the results showed.

“This was despite some players not even knowing the names of other players
prior to kick-off,” he said.

Over the years the ADF has built an awesome reputation at the games.

Games Director Walt Hiltner said the ADF teams were a great group, a real force to be reckoned with.

“The ADF has the team beat,” he said.

In the women’s divisio two ADF teams finished first and second.

The men tried hard to match the women, claiming first in the men’s over 30 competition and third spot in the men’s open competition.

Many tri-service friendships were made and you can bet beyond doubt that the ADF will be back next year, ready again to be the teams to beat.
