Hockey
AIR Force hockey players in south-east Queensland are invited
to participate in the south-east Queensland Hockey Carnival,to
be held at the Burringbar Park Hockey Complex, Chermside on April
29-30. Players for the men’s and women’s Queensland
Combined Services teams will be selected. For more details conctact

ADF Hockey players are invited to participate in the ADF hockey
championships to be held at the Albury Hockey centre from June
5- 11. The championships will be used to select the ADF hockey
team to compete at the Australian Country Championships in Adelaide
in July/August. For more information contact you local hockey

Surfing
The inaugural NSW Interservice Surfing Championships will be held
at One Mile Beach, Port Stevens from April 21-23. It will feature
a program of events for short and longboarders. Surfers interested
in competing should contact CPL Grant Robinson on (02) 4964 5249.
Funding bids
FUNDING bids are being sought for RAAF interservice sport for
the 2004/05 financial year. Applications should include sport
details, numbers of Air Force participants, competition details,
host service, a detailed bid for funds, existing sponsorship/funding
arrangements and a point of contact. The bid for funds is to include
costing for all items including uniforms, venue hire, and umpires’
fees. Applications are to be submitted via a minute to DCOORD-AF,
attention COORDIB, Russell Offices by May 30.
