Tax guidance

THE Defence Tax Management Office has issued the Ethiopia tax supplement to assist ADF members who have served on Operation Pomelo in Ethiopia to identify taxation exemptions and implications.

The supplement is available on the Defweb at http://defweb.cbr.defence.gov.au/cfo/tax/adf/default.htm or the Internet at http://www.defence.gov.au/cfo/tax/supps/default.htm.

Leave advice

IF you have leave accrued before or during 2000-01, use it before June 30 or lose it – that’s the message from DGPERS-AF.

Leave lapsing, including deduction from leave records, occurs automatically on PMKeyS on July 1 each year.
If circumstances prevent leave being taken before the due date, an application to carry-over that leave into the next leave year is to be forwarded to SODGPERS-AF through the chain of command no later than April 23.
