Leading Aircraftman Nicholas Eaton

Dangling from a harness on a cliff-face is not an image usually associated with firefighters.

But Air Force firefighters do much more than just fight blazes, as Leading Aircraftman Nicholas Eaton demonstrates as part of high angle rescue training for Fire Section members at RAAF Base Tindal. The firefighters conducted high angle rescue training at locations around Katherine, including Umbawarra Gorge, grain silos at East Katherine and also from towers on the base.
