Targeted
improvements
THE
ADF is about to receive the first batch of new target systems that
will enable combat shooting training to international standards.
Albury companies Milspec and Australian Target Systems (ATS) have
been selected to provide the systems, valued at $4.3 million.
The contract involves the delivery of 600 Portable Infantry Target
Systems to practice, assess and validate combat shooting skills
in a field environment. The new systems replace 30-year-old target
systems that have become unreliable and are outdated in the face
of new weapons, battlefield tactics and munitions.
