TWO
of our Force Element Groups have welcomed new leaders, with the
appointments of Air Commodore Mark Binskin to Commander Air Combat
Group and Air Commodore Andy Kilgour to Commander Combat Support
Group.
AIRCDRE Binskin is a qualified fighter combat instructor and tactical
reconnaissance pilot who has flown more than 3500 hours in single
seat fighter aircraft. He has commanded No. 77 Squadron at RAAF
Base Williamtown and has represented the RAAF as the F-A/18 Hornet
Demonstrator Pilot throughout Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore
and New Zealand. AIRCDRE Binskin has served in various joint and
single service staff positions including Deputy Director Aerospace
Control, Officer Commanding the Airborne Early Warning and Control
Systems Program Office and Chief of Staff at Headquarters Australian
Theatre during Operation Falconer.
AIRCDRE Kilgour is a logistics officer with more than 20 yearsexperience
in Air Force supply and logistics management. He served as Director
of Personnel and Logistics Headquarters Australian Theatre and commanded
1st Joint Movements Group, where he was responsible to Commander
Australian Theatre for the planning of support to operations, exercises
and logistics developments at the operational level. AIRCDRE Kilgour
was appointed as an honorary Aide-de-Camp to the Governor-General
and also served as Director Joint Logistics and Administration at
Strategic Operations Division at Australian Headquarters.
