Rugby
revs up
THIS year promises an exciting and challenging program for Air Force
Rugby Union.
A tour to New Zealand, including a Test against the
RNZAF, and a game against the touring Chinese Peoples Liberation
Army side are the highlights of the program.

Tenpin titles
THE 2004 ACT/SNSW Inter-service Tenpin Bowling Championships will
be held on March 5.
The championships will comprise nine games, total pinfall, with
the grand total of each Service deciding the winner. Individual
scores from all nine games will be used to select the ACT Combined
Services Team that will compete in the ADF National Tenpin Bowling
Championships.
Team selection is open to all permanent, reserve and APS members.

Charity triathlon
THE RAAF Base Williamtown Multi-Sports Endurance Club (MSEC) will
run the RAAF Base Williamtown Charity Triathlon on March 19.
The triathlon is also the NSW ADF Triathlon Championship and proceeds
from the race will be donated to Legacy Torchbearers.
The event is open to all Service members, their dependents, members
of the NSW Police, Fire and Ambulance Services, MSEC members, Tomaree
Triathlon Club members and event sponsors.
Two races will be run. The first features a 500m swim, 15km ride
and 5km run and the second a 1km swim, 30km ride and 10km run. Both
events are open to teams and individuals.
A unit trophy will be awarded based on the number of competitors
as well as their places.
To ensure the successful running of the event, about 40 volunteers
are also required on the day.
