Squadron Leader Lewis and Wing Commander Clark meet in the MEAO.
TWO CAF Fellows from 2002 have put their academic study into practice on operations in the Middle East.

They are Wing Commander Andrew Clark, a navigator with the Royal New Zealand Defence Force, and Squadron Leader Rebecca Lewis, an RAAF legal officer.

WGCDR Clark completed a thesis on “Air Force or Air Corps? Does New Zealand Need an Independent Air Force in a Joint Environment?” and SQNLDR Lewis completed a thesis on “The Role of the International Law in Contemporary Air Operations” as part of their Fellowships.

WGCDR Clark is leading the Kiwi P-3K operation in the Middle East while SQNLDR Lewis has deployed as part of the AP-3C task group.
