Project points to better logistics

DMO has embarked on a project to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Australian Defence Organisation’s logistics environment over the next seven years. Program Management Office for Joint Project 2077 (JP2077), Improved Logistics Information Systems, was launched recently at RAAF Base Williams, Laverton.

The JP2077 project’s key objectives are:

• improved logistics capabilities;
• improved standardisation of business processes;
• rationalisation of the systems environment; and
• implementing effective logistics business process and system architecture to meet the needs of Defence.
