turn 50
MEMBERS of the Telecommunications Technician (TelsTech) mustering
will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the mustering’s formation
in Wagga Wagga from November 28-30. Activities include a get together/registration
night at the Wagga RSL on November 28, a semi-formal dinner at
RAAF Wagga Community Centre on November 29, and a barbecue lunch

A RAAF Memorial Service will be held at All Saints’ Air Force
Memorial Church, 11 Moore Avenue, West Lindfi eld, NSW, at 10am

Nov 9: The big band will present a program of 1940s music
for Swing on a Sunday at the Norman Lindsay Gallery, Faulconbridge,
Blue Mountains, NSW, from 1-4pm. Proceeds go to the National Trust.
Nov 9: The clarinet quartet will play for the RAAF Glenbrook
Open Day from 10am-2pm.
Nov 20: The Chamber Music Concert series continues with
a performance at St Matthews Church in Windsor, NSW, at 11am.
Nov 27: Chamber Music continues at the St Andrews Cathedral,
Sydney, with another in the regular series of midday concerts.

Nov 7: The Ceremonial Band will perform at the Officer
Training School, IOC Graduation Parade, Memorial Parade Ground,
Point Cook, at 11.30am.
Nov 8: The Williams Clarinet Quartet, Force 10, will entertain
at Wagga Police Youth & Citizens Club charity fundraiser, RAAF
Base Wagga, at 6.30pm.
Nov 11: A bugler will play at the Remembrance Day Ceremony,
the Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne, Victoria, at 10.30am.
Nov 14: The Williams Clarinet Quartet will perform at
the Central Flying School’s 90th anniversary dinner at the Officers
Mess, RAAF Base East Sale, at 6pm. Nov 17: The Williams
Clarinet Quartet will entertain at the SMM Annual Dinner at the
Offi cers Mess, RAAF Base Williams, at 4.30pm.
Memorabilia
sought
THE Research Services section of the Penrith City Library is seeking
photographs or memorabilia of the old RAAF Base Penrith site in
High Street from those who were posted to Penrith from the 1950s-’80s.
After the closure of the base, the site was used for the construction
of the Penrith City Council Civic Centre, which celebrates its
10th anniversary in December. If you can assist with the request,
