Force personnel, civilian staff and their families have an extra
avenue to further their education and professional development with
the recent launch of the Defence Library Internet site.
The new site allows remote access to the Defence Library catalogue
and specially selected electronic journals, databases and websites.
Debbie Darnell, Library Manager at RAAF East Sale, said most of
the students on base received postgraduate training, and now had
access to specialist and technical information, contributing both
to their quality of life, and Defence capability.
There is a simple registration form for accessing all the
information on the site, she said.
Squadron Leader David Worrall, Deputy Base Commander East Sale said,
The Defence community will find the Defence Library Internet
Site a rewarding and useful resource for their work training or
private education. The quality of our training directly relates
to the quality and effectiveness of the ADF. This site provides
personnel and their families with an abundance of easy to find information
resources.
