Maintenance section can fix it

IN A first for both Army and Air Force, the Mechanical Equipment Operations and Maintenance Section (MEOMS) of No. 382 Expeditionary Combat Support Squadron (382 ECSS) became an accredited maintenance organisation under the Army’s Technical Regulatory Framework (TRF).

The goal of the TRF is to contribute to ADF capabilities by ensuring a high degree of integrity for land materiel.

It is important to the Air Force that land materiel, used by Air Force personnel, is fit for service, safe and environmentally compliant.

The TRF provides CAF with a similar level of confidence for land materiel, as the airworthiness system provides for aircraft. It also contributes to a safe workplace.

Director of Technical Regulation-Army Colonel Brett Billett presented the certificate of accreditation to Commanding Officer of 382ECSS, Wing Commander Leigh Gordon during a ceremony at RAAF Base Amberley.

COL Billett commended the high standard of compliance that had been achieved and the commitment that had been demonstrated by all unit members.

382ECSS is the first of 11 Air Force units expected to be accredited under the TRF.
