A call to arms

NOMINATIONS are called for the inaugural ADF Aerospace Armament Conference at Williams Hall, Fairbairn, Canberra, from October 27-28.

The conference – being sponsored by Air Force Headquarters – will provide an avenue for sharing information on armament issues relating to aerospace capabilities, and promote professional development of ADF aerospace armament engineers and explosive ordnance technical tradespeople.

An invitation to attend the conference is extended to Air Force, Army and Navy explosive ordnance (EO) professionals (armament engineers, technical SNCOs and warrant officers) and related personnel.

The intention is to bring together armament officers from AFHQ, HQAC, Air Force units and DMO, base armament advisers/managers, Navy and Army aviation EO specialists, and industry to help build professional armament networks across the ADO.

Topics for presentation at the conference are also sought by September 30.

Presentations should be about 20 minutes, with 10 minutes question time. Longer presentations for groups can be accommodated if needed.

A dinner is planned for October 27 at a cost of be about $30 a person.

Nominations for attending the conference should be received by October 17.
