Trophy winning efforts

DARWIN-BASED No. 114 Mobile Control and Reporting Unit has had an outstanding year in the inter-unit trophy stakes, claiming the Joe Ulett Trophy and the Pither Trophy.

Sergeant Wayne Breen was presented with the Pither Trophy, awarded to the best apprentice at Radio School for a significant contribution to the achievements of No. 41 Wing.

SGT Breen won the award for developing an operational software script which greatly facilitated data links with another unit during Exercises.

Leading Aircraftwo­man Amanda Helmers was awarded the Joe Ulett Trophy for establishing the mission support cell during Arnhem Thunder 2002, and for the high quality of her intelligence and reporting support throughout the exercise.
