Stained glass to honour chaplain

AN Air Force chaplain will be commemorated with a stained glass window depicting his life.

Father Patrick McCormick, of Brisbane, died in April 2001 aged 69 years.
As a chaplain for 20 years he saw active service in Vietnam.

His most outstanding project was the construction of an orphanage at Tan Tai and his devoted care of its children.

The personnel of No. 2 Squadron worked tirelessly alongside Fr Pat to improve the conditions for the nuns and children of the orphanage.

The stained glass window at the Regina Caeli Parish Church in Brisbane will be installed by December at a cost of $25,000. Donations to the fund are being sought and interested people may contact Jennifer Duggan on (07) 3398 3697, Tuesday to Friday.
