Nursing
forum
THE
21st Century: has ADF nursing arrived? is the theme for the
2nd ADF Nursing Officer Forum to be held in Canberra on November
6-7.
More than 120 permanent and reserve nurses from across the three
services are expected to attend the annual event, coordinated by
Director of Defence Force Nursing Captain Jenny Graham.
The forum will focus on current nursing practices, careers, education,
leadership and the delivery of quality health care to members of
the ADF.
Prominent guest speakers from Defence and the civilian health community
will present topics of interest on nursing and health care relevant
to the forums theme.
Members will have the opportunity to network with their tri-service
counterparts for professional and personal development.
Nursing Officers interested in sharing their experiences, expertise,
and ideas on health care improvement, education, leadership and
nursing practice are invited to attend the two-day forum at the
Badcoe Theatre, Duntroon.
A dinner at University House, Australian National University, is
scheduled for November 6. Numbers for the dinner are limited and
tickets cost $65.50 a person.
A registration fee of $45 which will cover morning and afternoon
teas applies to the forum and registrations close on October
20.
Registration forms and further details are available from Lieutenant
Colonel Beverley Wright on (02) 6266 3085 or beverley.wright@defence.gov.au.
