Key
postings
THE
majority of officer postings for January 2004 will be promulgated
on PMKeyS in early August.
The majority of posting WEF dates are January 13, 2004, although
in some instances an alternative posting date may have been organised.
Officers and administrative units are re-minded that posting messages
are no longer produced and all posting information can be accessed
from the RAAF Postings and Promotions web site at http://defweb.cbr.
defence.gov.au/raafpostingpromotion/.
This web site is updated every Friday, and can be accessed by individuals
and administrative staff.
Postings can be retrieved by entering in-dividual, unit or administrative
unit details, and a posting report can be displayed and printed
by clicking on the Employee ID.
More information specific to postings is detailed at the bottom
of the report in the Additional Information field.
Officers should ensure that the Posted From unit is correct.
If incorrect, officers are to contact their admin unit (as detailed
on the posting report) to ensure all Local Area Moves (LAMs) to
past courses, deployments or attachments are closed.
A consolidated list of postings will also be promulgated via the
commanders net-work later in August.
Defence Housing Authority (DHA) will be advised of all postings
and, in due course, will distribute relocation packs to all posted
officers.
More information on housing and re-moval entitlements can be accessed
from the DHA web site at http://www.dha.gov.au/.
New mailbox
THE Air Force People Capability (AFPC) mailbox has been changed.
The web site provides AFHQ with the opportunity to solicit comments
and feed-back from Air Force personnel, and to ask them questions
about issues that affect Air Force people today and in the future.
The web site is managed by the RAAFs Cultural Alignment team
and encourages communication across the Air Force by generating
thought, discussion and innovation on a diverse range of topics.
It is also used to host information and to provide links to documents
and other relevant web sites.
The new mailbox address is afhq.afpc@defence.gov.au.
Alternatively, visit the web site at http://intranet.defence.gov.au/raafweb/sites/AFPC/
and simply click on any of the e-mail links to the AFPC mailbox.
RSG funding
THE Directorate of Personnel Reserves - Air Force (DPR-AF) has endeavoured
to satisfy most requests for the allocation of RSG days. Unfortunately,
current funding levels do not permit any further approvals.
Consequently, Reserve members con-sidering RSG employment, which
has not already been approved, should be mindful that units may
have difficulty securing your services.
Units can consider purchasing RSG days from their own funding.
This can be arranged by forwarding an e-mail to DPR-AF@defence.gov.au
detailing the task, the number of days requested, the identified
Reserve members details, the authority for the transfer of
funds and a point of contact. DPR-AF staff will contact the POC
and finalise the details.
At your service
APPLICATIONS will be called for around September or October from
organisations that wish to employ a Reservist on Continuous Full
Time Service (CFTS).
Bid proformas will be distributed at the time of calling for applications.
Reserve members considering a period of CFTS should contact their
Reserve Squadron to identify potential work opportunities.
All bids will need to be submitted through the applicable Reserve
Squadron, FEG and higher headquarters.
As was the case last year, funding for CFTS is extremely tight and
not all applica-tions will be approved.
Any urgent requests for CFTS may be submitted at any time following
the same process as described above.
It should be noted, however, that fund-ing for CFTS remains tight
and only those applications supported by the higher com-mand will
be considered for approval.
