Leading Aircraftman Shannon Ross, Flight Sergeant Raylee Scott and Corporal Edwin Darke with Commanding Officer’s Commendations they received for providing communications services to the Maritime Patrol Aircraft Force Command Element task group in the Middle East. A fourth member of the group, LAC Jay Henry, was also presented with a CO’s Commendation at a morning tea before the group returned to Australia. Wing Commander Guy Burton and Sergeant Tony Carville present Scott Wadwell, a cook from No. 381 Expeditionary Combat Support Squadron, with his new corporal rank slides. CPL Wadwell said he was “shocked, but relieved and glad that the promotion came while serving overseas” as part of a joint team of Coalition cooks in the MEAO. Flight Lieutenant David Parker, Wing Commander John Anderson, Flying Officer Simon Paton and Squadron Leader Paul Lineham at the formal dinner at the first Reserves Military Public Affairs Conference, held in Canberra. Air Force participants from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Perth attended the event that involved 22 Public Affairs Officers from all three services.
