Air Command Band
July 25: The parade band will support a No. 77 Squadron
parade at RAAF Base Williamtown to mark the 50th anniversary of
the end of the Korean War. The clarinet quartet will later play
for a dinner function.
July 29: The Air Command Big Band will perform for high
school music students at the NSW Education Music Camp at Stanwell
Tops at 6.30pm.
July 31: The Air Command Concert Band will continue its
free Midday Music Series at St Andrews Cathedral. The band
welcomes back conductor FLTLT John Buckley who has been attending
the World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles Conference
in Sweden.
August 1: The big band will entertain guests at the Hartley
Life Care Charity Ball in Canberra at 7pm. For tickets and information

History conference
THE RAAF History Conference will be held in the National Convention
Centre in Canberra on August 4-5. The theme is 100 Years of Aviation:
The Australian Military Experience. The conference will be a mixture

Bird watching
THE Royal Air Force Ornithological Society (RAFOS) plans to conduct
an Adventurous Training/Ornithological Survey of the Birds Australia
Newhaven Reserve, 300km northwest of Alice Springs, in September
2004. RAAF members who are interested in birding and would like

Free flights
THE RAAF Williamtown Flying Club will conduct Trial Instructional
Flights on July 26-27 in which 20 lucky people will get their
first experience of flight for free. Contacts and more information

CFS reunion
CENTRAL Flying School (CFS) at RAAF Base East Sale will celebrate
its 90th anniversary with a reunion dinner and associated activities,
including with a barbecue and flying displays, on November 14.
Former CFS members who are interested in being included on the
