Triathlon at Enoggera

A FIELD of 53 entrants took part in the annual South-East Queensland Triathalon, sponsored by 7th Brigade at Enoggera.

The short course encompassed a 2km run, followed by a 200m swim, 20km bike ride, back into the pool for a further 200m swim and finishing with a 4km run.

TPR Jason Crowther, 2/14 LHR, won the event in a time of 64.30 minutes. Second place went to WO1 Richard Armstrong, 7 CSR (65.35), with MAJ Jeff Rudd, RTC (SQ) finishing third (66.19).

WO1 Armstrong and MAJ Rudd were first and second respectively in the over 40 years category.

PTE Hollie Goodall, 1 Fd Reg, was the first female with a time of 73.36, followed by CPL Adriana Krommenhoek from Carbarlah’s 7 Sig Reg (78.24) and LT Alison Gordon, 1 JSU, third place (83.21).

Team results were Tigers first in 74.16 and Stubbies second at 67.35, with female team Just For Fun finishing in 89.40.
