football
The Combined Services Football Club plays in the Top End Australian
Football Association (TEAFA) Wet Season competition in Darwin.
Combined finished third in the competition last season and won
the Flag the season before.
It is looking for players, coaches, trainers, runners and waterboys
of all skill level to start pre-season in June. Defence members
are more than welcome. Trainings are on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Golf
The Central Region Military Golf Championships will be conducted
from July 13-15 at the Vines Golf Club, Reynella, over 72 holes.
Entry fee is $45 which includes all green fees and presentations.

Hockey
The 9th Australian Masters Games is to be held in Canberra from
October 31 to November 9. The ADF Hockey Association will enter
teams. The major requirement for entry is to be old enough, and
for hockey this is 30 years of age at December 31, 2003. Last
year three teams (two mens and one womens) competed
in the World Masters Games in Melbourne, and it is hoped the same
numbers can be achieved for the Australian Masters. Information

Lawn Bowls
The 2003 NSW Inter-Service Lawn Bowls competition will be conducted
at Beresfield Bowling Club, Newcastle, from August 12-14. A message
with further details and requests for nominations will be released
in June. Also the national competition is planned for September
1-5 at Ferny Grove Bowling Club, Brisbane. For details, contact

Rugby Union
The Australian Services Rugby Union (ASRU) Electroboard-Polycom
National Inter-Service carnival will be held from June 7-15. The
schedule for matches is: Navy v Air Force, June 8, Eastern Suburbs
Rugby Woollahra at 3pm; Army v Air Force, June 11, Eastern Suburbs
Rugby Woollahra at 12:10pm; Army v Navy (women), June 14, North
Sydney Oval from 11:30am; Army v Navy (men), June 14, North Sydney
Oval from 1:30pm.
The ASRU Mens Domestic Tour will be from June 15-29 with
the following games planned: ASRU v UK PTIs, June 18, Victoria
Barracks, Sydney; ASRU v Brisbane Universities, June 22, Queensland
University Ground; ASRU v Darling Downs, June 25, Toowoomba; ASRU
v Australian Universities, June 29, Ballymore.
The ASRU Womens Tour is from July 18-27 at Narrabeen, NSW.
Skiing
The RAAF Alpine Sports Association Championships will be held
at Mt Hotham from August 2-10, catering for all levels of downhill

The 2003 RAAF and National Inter-Service Cross-Country/Biathlon
Skiing Championships will be held at Mt Hotham, Victoria, from

Soccer
The NSW/ACT Inter-Service Soccer Carnival will be held at RAAF
Richmond from July 9-11. The Air Force contact is SGT Scott Keegan

HMAS Cerberus will host the 2003 Victorian Inter-Service Soccer
carnival. Games will be played as follows: June 17, 2pm, Army
v RAAF; June 18, 2pm, Navy v Loser Day 1; and June 19, 10am, Navy

Tenpin Bowling
The Australian Defence Force Tenpin Bowling Association will conduct
its annual Nationals Tournament from June 23-27 in NSW. State
