League up and running

CAF has agreed on the establishment of RAAF Rugby League (RAAFRL) as an Air Force sports association and has set the next team the task of winning the national inter-service title.

RAAFRL aims to promote the playing of rugby league amongst all in the ‘RAAF One Team’ and builds on the success of the inaugural Air Force representative team at this year’s inter-service carnival.

Air Force will host the 2004 inter-service carnival at Williamtown.

All current players and anyone interested in rugby league are asked to look at the new intranet web site.
All players are also urged to register with the committee. Registration is free.

Details are on the web page http://intranet.defence.gov.au/raafweb/Sites/AFRLC

You can also give any of the committee a call: Air Commodore Geoff Shepherd (02) 6265 0026, Warrant Officer Rosco Warrall (02) 6265 4063, Flight Lieutenant Glen Schroeder (02) 6265 4376 or Sergeant A.J.Smith (02) 6265 3234.
