Squadron
Leader Tony Banner and RAAF Base Townsville personnel lead the
main Anzac Day march in Cairns. As well as local area ceremonial
and parade commitments in Townsville, Thuringowa and Magnetic
Island on Anzac Day, RAAF Townsville members attended marches
and services at 25 separate locations including Longreach,
Cairns, Charters Towers, Cooktown and Hamilton Island
to represent the Air Force on the important day. |

Warrant
Officer George Stirzaker (retd), in wheelchair, leads
the ex-apprentice and Junior Equipment Assistant Trainees element
of the Anzac Day parade at Wagga Wagga. The Wombats, apprentices
who attended the RAAF School of Technical Training during 1958-60,
held a reunion in the NSW city from April 24-26. Ex-WOFF Stirzaker
was their squadron commander in 1960. |

Sale
Primary School Year 6 students (from left) Cassie Grmusa, Olivia
Laws, Laura Bowman, Beth Goodsell and Patrick Rowe at the schools
cenotaph. The five Junior School Councillors organised the schools
Anzac Day ceremony, attended by the School of Air Navigation
Commanding Officer at RAAF Base East Sale, Wing Commander Tony
Forestier, who was impressed by the respect and spirit the schools
children had for the occasion. |

Defence
Health's Kim Templeton presents Corporal Russell Huxley, of
No. 382 Expeditionary Combat Support Squadron at RAAF Base Amberley,
with a St. John's first aid kit for being the 55,000th member
of Defence Health. Also in attendance is CPL Huxleys fiance
Lisa. |

The
No. 3 Combat Support Hospital contingent that has deployed from
RAAF Base Richmond to East Timor in support of Operation Citadel.
They arrived in Timor in early May for a six-month deployment.
