Air Force achievers honoured

OUR high achievers were acknowledged at the Air Force Proficiency and Leadership Awards in a ceremony at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra on May 1.
Chief of Air Force Air Marshal Angus Houston presented the awards at the fourth annual awards night. The full list of winners is:

  • The Air Force Association Trophy: No. 26 (City of Newcastle) Squadron, RAAF Base Williamtown.
  • The Hawker Siddeley Trophy: No. 323 Combat Support Squadron, RAAF Base Townsville.
  • The Duke of Gloucester Cup: No. 92 Wing, RAAF Base Edinburgh.
  • The Markowski Cup: No. 1 Air Terminal Squadron.
  • The RAAF Maintenance Trophy: No. 33 Squadron, RAAF Base Richmond.
  • The Air Vice-Marshal B.A. Eaton Award: Corporal Regan Clare Elliot, No 86 Wing.
  • The Australian Defence Industries Leadership Award (Sword): Flying Officer Matthew Cocker, Security Police Officer with the headquarters at NORCOM.
  • The Air Vice-Marshal Dietz Memorial Medallion (military): Flight Sergeant Anthony Bernardo, Maritime Patrol Systems Program Office.
  • The AVM Dietz Memorial Medallion (civilian): Joseph Vlcek, Tactical Fighter Systems Program Office.
  • The Lipshut Family Bursary: Corporal Jillian Lee, a Clerk Supply with No. 1 Combat Communication Squadron.
