Family sought
Nola Edmonds (nee Roberts) is seeking to contact direct descendants of the late AIRCDRE Charles William Pearce, DFC, CBE, who was instrumental in rescuing her father-in-law, Jack Edmonds, and about 100 other personnel and civilians when 24SQN was destroyed in Rabaul, New Guinea, in 1942. Mrs Edmonds, a second cousin of AIRCDRE Pearce, has medals from the Sudan War that could have belonged to AIRCDRE Pearce’s father. She can be contacted on (08) 9497 1147 or mikenola@iinet.net.au

Central Band
May 9: The Ceremonial Band will perform at the OTS Graduation Parade, RAAF Base Williams, Point Cook, at 11.30am.
May 14: The Ceremonial Band will perform at the 1RTU Graduation Parade, RAAF Base Edinburgh, at 9am.
May 16: The Ceremonial Band will perform at the 2FTS Graduation Parade, RAAF Base Pearce, at 1.30pm.
May 16: Air Power Brass will perform at a Government House Investiture, Melbourne, at 10am.
