Athletics
THE ADF Running and Athletics Association will conduct the 2003
State Teams Half Marathon Championship in conjunction with the
Canberra Half Marathon on Sunday, May 18. The event comprises
four teams of ten runners (8 male and 2 female) representing VIC,
NSW/ACT, SA/WA/TAS and NT/QLD. Runners compete for their respective
state of enlistment/appointment and team selection is open to
all permanent and reserve members. Entries for team selection
close May 8 and can be forwarded to FSGT Warren Matulick at DPO-AF,
R8-7-014, Dept. of Defence, Canberra ACT 2600 along with contact
details and entry fee. Race entry forms will be available from

THE
ADF Running and Athletics Associations National Track and
Field Championships will be held on April 26-27 at Alexandra Park,
Albury, in conjunction with the Victorian Country Championships.
The event is open to all permanent and Reserve personnel and Defence
civilians in various age categories. Further details are available

Australian football
THE Australian Services Australian Football Associations
national combined services side will play a curtain-raiser to
the Sydney Swans vs Melbourne game at the Sydney Cricket Ground
on Anzac Day against a combined Australian Federal Police/NSW
Fire Brigade team. This is part of the Swans commitment
to supporting Australian rules in the ADF. To book tickets, phone

Bodybuilding
THE 6th annual ADF Natural Bodybuilding and Figure Titles will
be held at HMAS Cerberus on June 23, featuring divisions for all
ADF permanent and Reserve personnel and Defence civilians. As
an amateur event, beginners are encouraged. For entry details

THE annual ADF Inter-Service Fishing Championship will be held

THE 2003 ADF Hockey Championships will be conducted at the Pines

Soccer
THE Australian Combined Services Soccer Association is calling
for nominations for coaches, managers and trainers for the ADF
mens and womens teams. These teams will be involved
in the Arafura Games in Darwin from May 17-24 and a womens
tour of Singapore in June. Nominations should be sent to CAPT
Brendan Smith, e-mail brendan.smith3@defence.gov.au,
and must be endorsed through the single service soccer presidents.
Tenpin Bowling
THE Australian Defence Force Tenpin Bowling Association will be
conducting its annual National Tournament from June 23-27 in NSW
this year. State representatives are requested to organise their
individual state interservice competition. Further information
