Arnhem Thunder, lightning fast jets
THE Katherine and RAAF Base Tindal airspace came alive to the grunt of 16 F/A-18 and seven F-111 aircraft in the aptly named Exercise Arnhem Thunder in the first two weeks of April.

In June the shared Optus and Defence C1 communications satellite will be launched from Centre Spatial Guyanais – the European space centre in French Guiana – heralding the start of a new era in satellite communications for the Department of Defence.
