Commission revision

Changes to the organisation of Defence Force Recruiting have necessitated a revision of processing applications for commissioning from the airman force.

DPO–AF is now responsible for processing serving members’ applications for commissioning, while Defence Force Recruiting processes applications from civilian applicants. Commissioning applications from serving members should be forwarded to DPO-AF Appointment and Recruiting (APPREC) Cell.

Once DPO–AF reviews and accepts an application, the member will then undertake a Defence psychologist assessment before being considered for presentation to a RAAF Officer Selection Board. Further information is available on the DPO–AF web site, or call Squadron Leader Pete Gibb (02) on 6265 2483.
