US Air Force Brigadier-General Will Scott and Wing Commander Ron Irons present a certificate and rank slides to newly promoted Warrant Officer Colin McNiell of No. 386 Expeditionary Combat Support Squadron.

SEVERAL airmen and airwomen from the Combat Air Lift Unit have been presented with certificates by a top-ranking member of the US Air Force.

The certificates, presented at a ceremony held in the Middle East to commemorate the Royal Australian Air Force’s 82nd birthday, recognised the members’ selection for promotion.

Brigadier-General Will Scott, the Commanding Officer of the 64th Air Expeditionary Wing, awarded the certificates, congratulating the recipients on their promotion.

One of the recipients was Flight Sergeant Colin McNiell, whose promotion to the airmen’s pinnacle rank of Warrant Officer while on active duty, and having that rank presented by a General Officer of the US Air Force, was particularly noteworthy.
