ADF Sports Billboard

Athletics
The ADF Running and Athletics Association will conduct the 2003 State Teams Half Marathon Championship in conjunction with the Canberra Half Marathon on Sunday, May 18. The event is open to all permanent and reserve members. Entries for team selection close May 8 and can be forwarded to FSGT Warren Matulick, at DPO-AF, R8-7-014, Dept. of Defence, Canberra ACT 2600, along with contact details and entry fee. The ADF Running and Athletics Association's National Track and Field Championships will be held on April 26-27 at Alexandra Park, Albury, in conjunction with the Victorian Country Championships. The event is open to all permanent and reserve personnel and Defence civilians in various age categories. Visit the ADFRAA web site at www.coolrunning.com.au/adf.

The Lest We Forget Run will be held in Townsville on Sunday, April 27, at 9am. Designed to capture the Anzac spirit, the 8km run will begin from Anzac Park on The Strand. Entry is $16. For details visit www.lestweforget.com.au or phone Athletics North Queensland on (07) 4728 1365.
Golf

The Central Region Military Golf Championships will be conducted from July 13-15 at the Vines Golf Club, Reynella over 72 holes. Entry fee is $45 which includes all green fees and presentations. Rugby Union

All applicants for NorthSail 2003 need to be aware that the dates for the event have changed. Leg 1: Apr 27-May 1 - Sydney to Coffs Harbour; Leg 2: May 1-5 - Coffs Harbour to Manly (QLD); Leg 3: May 6-10 - Manly to Bundaberg; Leg 4: May 10-14 - Bundaberg to Mackay; Leg 5: May 15-19 - Mackay to Townsville; Leg 6: May 19-23 - Townsville to Mackay; Leg 7: May 24-28 - Mackay to Bundaberg; Leg 8: May 28-June 1 - Bundaberg to Manly (QLD); Leg 9: June 2-6 - Manly to Coffs Harbour; Leg 10: June 6-10 - Coffs Harbour to Sydney. ADF Tenpin Bowling
The Australian Defence Force Tenpin Bowling Association will be conducting its annual Nationals Tournament 23-27 Jun 03. It is to be held in NSW this year. State reps are requested to organise your individual state's Interservice competition.
