Two
South Australian employers have been recognised for their support
of Air Force Reserve personnel at a special ceremony at the Adelaide
Town Hall.
The
event, organised by South Australias Defence Reserves Support
Council (DRSC), acknowledged employers who have supported ADF
Reserve employees with leave arrangements and other special considerations
necessary for them to fulfil their Defence obligations.
DRSC-SA
liaison officer Major Kathy Green said the Gawler Police Station
and the Lyell McEwin Health Service were among the organisations
presented with special certificates of appreciation.
Overall, 29 employers and individuals from around South Australia
received awards for their continued support of Defence Force Reserves.
Increasingly
we are drawing on the skills, expertise and qualifications of
Defence Reserves to support military operations and the support
of employers is extremely important, Major Green said.
The
Defence Reserves Support Council implements and promotes policies
and programs that improve the availability of Reserves to the
ADF.
