Clarifications

• Only personnel in receipt of rental assistance or who live in a service residence are entitled to the air conditioning allowance that was the subject of the article “Cool change for Darwin families” in the edition of February 13. At present there is no provision for homeowners to receive the allowance, however the Department of Defence is reviewing this aspect.
  

• The article “VC winner remembered” in the edition of December 19, 2002, did not contain a complete list of the extended Newton family members who have served in the ADF. Ommitted were Flying Officer Les Newton (dec), a supply officer mentioned in dispatches during World War II, and Flying Officer Mark Naglost (ret’d), who also served as a supply officer.
