Group calls for members

FOR many years the Royal Australian Air Force Radio Engineering Officer fraternity, which was later extended to include the Instrument and Electrical Engineering Officers, has been meeting as a group in Melbourne to maintain professional contact with past and present serving officers.

Last year the group elected to expand its membership base to include past and present serving Officers of the Engineering Branch of the Australian and Allied Defence Forces, including Reserve Forces.

The intention of the group is to foster the camaraderie developed throughout the members Defence careers by arranging social functions and information presentations on current Defence matters.

This year it will hold a luncheon in June and an evening function in late September. Throughout the year there will be other opportunities for informal luncheons with group members at the Air Forces Club in the Melbourne suburb of South Yarra.

The group would like to hear from any person who is interested in joining and receiving further information on its activities. Contact Wing Commander Noel Hadfield (ret’d) on (03) 9511 7775 or Wing Commander Kev Leslie (ret’d) on (03) 9398 1683.
