ON GUARD: Australia’s Federation Guard has been busy in the nation’s capital lately. The AFG provided a triservice Royal Guard in support of Australia Day celebrations on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin, which was reviewed by Governor-General Peter Hollingworth. The Federation Guard also provided a Catafalque Party at the Australian War Memorial earlier this month.     AUSTRALIA DAY: Leading Aircraftman Isaac Cullen took part in the party, which was held in the memorial’s Hall of Remembrance. The Catafalque Party was the first in what will become an ongoing event, to be held on the first Wednesday of every month at the War Memorial. Photo by LACW Veronica McKenna     FLYING THE FLAG: Australian Defence College Headquarters staff Group Captain Phil Edwards, Lieutenant Commander Francesca Davis and Major General Jim Molan inspect the personal flag of the Commander, Australian Defence College. The personal flags have been introduced for use by Army two stars who are in command of joint Defence organisations. MAJGEN Molan took command of the college last August.     HALF CENTURY: Celebrating the recent 50th anniversary of the World War II RAAF Pathfinder Association of New South Wales are (from left) Ken McIntyre, Fred Jacobs, Hec Scott, James Hogg, Deryck Giblin, Ken Youdale, Greg Parsons, Tony Wheeler and Alby Mather.
