Information sessions available
From the Federation with Graham Howatt

Communication and consultation with ADF personnel is a key factor in the enhancement and development of ADF conditions of service.

To assist with this process and to ensure personnel issues are balanced, the Federation provides information and awareness briefings on ADF conditions of service and the role we play in the ADF wage-fixing process.

Such presentations have the endorsement of Chief of Defence Force General Peter Cosgrove, who, in a statement on the Armed Forces Federation last November, said: “The Federation helps educate ADF members in regard to their employment conditions and the ADF remuneration process. Representatives of the Federation may visit military bases throughout Australia to conduct information and awareness sessions during normal working hours, subject to prior endorsement of the visits at unit and command level.”

A presentation normally lasts around 40 minutes.

With the Remuneration Reform Program gaining momentum, Service Allowance listed for hearing by the Defence Force
Remuneration Tribunal on April 23 and negotiations on a replacement Workplace Remuneration Arrangement beginning later in the year, it would be timely to hear the Federation’s views on these and other matters.

To book a presentation, phone our Federal Office on (02) 62605100 or 1800 806 861, or e-mail Arffa@bigpond.com
