Recognition of excellence

FOUR associations have presented trophies to members of RAAF Base Amberley’s No. 82 Wing in recognition of their excellence in performing duties.

Each year the Queensland branches of the RAAF Beaufort Squadrons Association, Pathfinder Force Association, Beaufighter and Boston Association and 463-467 Squadron Association award trophies to Amberley’s 82WG personnel.

At a presentation at the base in late December, the Beaufort Squadrons Association trophy went to Flight Lieutenant Mark Neasmith, of No. 1 Squadron, and Flight Lieutenant Luke Warner, of No. 6 Squadron, for their efforts towards flying operations within their respective squadrons.

The 463-467 Squadron Association trophy was awarded to 6SQN’s Corporal Natalie Kirkwood for her work in support of squadron operations.

Corporal Daniel Harrison received the Beaufighter and Boston Association trophy for excellent work in operations support to strike squadrons.

Finally, Flying Officer Richard Peapell, of 1SQN, received the Pathfinder Force Association trophy for excellence in a first strike squadron tour.
