When
the United States Navy Carrier USS Abraham Lincoln pulled into Western
Australia earlier this year for routine repairs to its flight deck,
US Navy aircraft on board (pictured) took the opportunity to do
some extra training.
During the Abraham Lincolns stay, a number of US aircraft
were relocated to RAAF Base Pearce so they could maintain operational
flying expertise while the flight deck was out of service.
Training included the use of the Lancelin Defence Training Area
for bombing practice, near RAAF Base Pearce.
