Athletics
THE ADF Running and Athletics Association’s National Track and Field Championships that were to be held on January 25-26 at Alexandra Park, Albury, have been postponed to a date to be advised. Australian Rules
FOOTY fever will strike at the Father McDonald Cup Australian Rules Football Competition at Randwick Army Barracks on Wednesday, March 5. Nominations close on Monday March 3. Details are available from LSPT Ray Bell on (02) 9359 2404, or by e-mail ray.bell@defence.gov.au.

Beach volleyball
TIME is running out to nominate your team for the 2003 Defence Force Beach Volleyball competition, to be held on Wednesday, February 19, at Manly Beach. Equestrian
THE NSW Police will hold its annual Police Equestrian Games, with members of the Australian Defence Force invited to attend at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre on March 8-9. Running
DEFENCE runners are urged to dust off their joggers in preparation for the 2003 Centennial Park Sydney Fun Run on Wednesday, February 26. Defence civilians and service personnel are welcome to compete in the event, with categories for Open Men (7.5km), Open Women (5km), Veterans 35yrs+ (5km) and Walkers (3.6km). The run begins at 12.30. Nominations for the race close on Monday, February 24. Contact LSPT Ray Bell on (02) 9359 2404 for details, or e-mail him at ray.bell@defence.gov.au.

Ultra Challenge
AN ultra challenge event through the heartland of Tasmania will be held from March 8-10. The Cradle to Coast Ultra Challenge covers rough and isolated terrain that is subject to extreme weather. It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure they are adequately prepared in terms of fitness, skills and equipment. Further details are available from www.tasultra.org.
