Changes to directorate

Directorate of Reserves - Air Force has been renamed the Directorate of Personnel Reserves - Air Force (DPR-AF).

The name change is part of a restructure of the directorate that follows the appointment of Air Commodore Dave Dunlop as Director General Reserves - Air Force (DGRES-AF) in September.

DGRES-AF is responsible for development of Air Force Reserve capability, Air Force input into tri-service Reserve policy, Air Force input into ADF Reserve enhancements and legislation development, Air Force input into the Defence Reserve Support Council and associated activities, higher level Reserve input into the development of the Wartime Establishment, and higher level responsibility for Australian Air Force Cadets.

Key staff members are: Director General AIRCDRE Dunlop, Deputy Director General Group Captain Robert Connor and Director Reserve Policy Squadron Leader Amanda Leslie. Director Reserve Capability is to be announced.

DPR-AF is responsible for providing career and personnel management role for Air Force Reserves, development of Air Force Reserve policy, management of the Air Force Reserve Salary allocation, and processing of all Air Force AFA 4J(3) applications.

Key personnel are: Director Wing Commander Peter Davis, Reserve Personnel Manager Squadron Leader Michael Warby and Reserve Projects Squadron Leader Carol Willmot.
