School
a joint effort
THE
Air Force, Army and Navy have combined to form a joint school that
will become the Australian Defence Forces centre of military
communications.
A tri-service parade held on December 4 at Simpson Barracks at MacLeod,
in Melbournes north-east, marked the formation of the Defence
Force School of Signals and the Air Forces Communications
and Information Systems Controller Training Section.
The amalgamation brought together communication and information
systems training from the three services to create common training
development and management across a number of trades.
Joint training will also allow the Australian Defence Force to keep
pace with technological change and reflect national training standards.
