CHIEF
of Defence Force General Peter Cosgrove made a flying visit to RAAF
Base Tindal recently to discuss various issues and meet with Air
Force personnel.
In Darwin for a ceremony marking the return of the last New Zealand
military contingent from East Timor, GEN Cosgrove made time in his
busy schedule to meet with personnel from No. 75 Squadron and No.
322 Combat Support Squadron, present Long Service Medals to a number
of airmen and have lunch with all ranks.
Accompanying General Cosgrove was his wife Lynne who used the opportunity
to meet with Defence Community Organisation staff and spouses of
Air Force personnel.
Expressing regret his visit could not have been longer, GEN Cosgrove
plans to return in the future to meet more personnel at Tindal.
