ADF Sports Billboard

Athletics
THE ADF Running and Athletics Association will conduct the ADF Track and Field Championships on January 25-26 at Alexandra Park, Albury, in conjunction with the Victorian Country Championships. The event is open to permanent and reserve personnel and Defence civilians. Canoeing
THE 2002 Interservice Canoeing Championships will be held from December 26 to January 2, in conjunction with the Red Cross Murray River Canoe Marathon, covering 400kms in five days. Combined sports
THE Australian Services Triathlon Association will again conduct the ADF Combined Sports Championship, featuring up to 300 ADF personnel in four different sports over a five-day period, from February 27 to March 3. Cycling, running, swimming and a triathlon will be contested to eventually decide the ADF Endurance Champion. Further details are available from WO2 Greg Young on (02) 96004266.

Gliding
THE Australian Services Gliding Association (ASGA) will conduct the National Interservice Gliding Championships at Leeton from December 27 to January 10. Information is available from ASGA representative SSGT Denis Lambert on (07) 46917928 or e-mail denis.lambert@defence.gov.au.

Swimming
THE Australian Services Triathlon Association will conduct the ADF National Swimming Championships on February 26 at Holsworthy Barracks Swimming Pool. Entry is free and open to all ADO personnel including reservists and civilians. Events will cover all strokes over various distances. For further details contact CPL Robert Kawana on (02) 9600 1897.

Rugby league
THE Rockingham Raiders Rugby League Club is looking for players for U7s to U18s, Women’s Super Tag, reserve grade and first grade. The season starts in February/March with pre-season training beginning in January.
