INFORMATION
Systems Division (ISD) has instigated a new process to streamline
the posting cycle for its customers.
The process will start for the customers through the Posting Web
Wizard.
This will be available through an icon that has been placed on
the desktop of all Defence Restricted Network users.
Users who are on the Canberra DRN or do not have the icon on their
desktop will be able to get to it through the ISD Customer Support
Centre web site located at http://drnsupport.defence.gov.au.
The Web Wizard will allow members being posted to enter all of
the details of their losing and gaining locations and will provide
them with a reference number to track the progress of the transfer
of their account and data.
Customers will be required to ensure that their H: drive data
is kept to a level below 25Mb.
It is important to note that the e-mail data of users will not
be moved but that their account will be deleted and then created
at their gaining location.
Users that have more than 25Mb of data, or those that require
their e-mail transferred to their new posting, will need to provide
a CD-ROM to their local ISD staff so that their data can be burnt
for them before they leave their losing location.
Any questions about the process can be directed to the Customer
Service Centre on 133 272.
