Ex-Apprentices reunion
The 30th annual Melbourne reunion of Air Force Ex-Apprentices will be held on January 25-26. The Saturday function is for all ex-apprentices, members from other countries who trained with them, and former instructors. It will be held at the Air Force Association, 4 Cromwell Rd, South Yarra, at 1pm. The Sunday Family Picnic will be held at Toolangi, in the grounds of the Arden tea-rooms, Healesville-Kinglake Road, around lunch time. Northsail nominations
Nominations are open for Defence members to be a skipper or mate on one or more legs of the ADF Sailing Association’s Northsail 2003 from Sydney to Townsville and back. The event will feature 10 legs between April 27-June 10.
Qualifications for skippers are: AYF Coastal Skipper (or above) certified, Red Cross (or equivalent organisation) Level 2 First Aid Certificate, Restricted Radio Operators Licence and preferably AYF SSSC qualified. Mates’ qualifications are: AYF Inshore Skipper (or above) certified, Red Cross (or equivalent) Level 2 First Aid Certificate, Restricted Radio Operators Licence and preferably AYF SSSC qualified. RAAF Air Command Band

Dec 06	The Big Band will perform at the RAAF Richmond Christmas Treat from 11am-noon.
Dec 07	The Big Band will play at the ACSC graduation ball in Canberra at 7pm.
Dec 08	The Parade Band will perform at the 50th anniversary parade for Air Force Cadets at RAAF Base Glenbrook at 5pm.
Dec 12	The Big Band will perform at the ADFA graduation ball in Canberra at 7pm.

RAAF Central Band

Dec 08	The Concert Band will perform at Moreland City Council’s Carols by Candlelight, Coburg Lake, Lake Grove, Coburg, 8-10pm.
Dec 11	The Ceremonial Band will perform at the 1RTU Graduation Parade, RAAF Base Edinburgh, at 9am.
Dec 15	The Concert Band will play at the Kingston Carols by the Bay, Peter Scullin Reserve, Beach Road, Mordialloc, at 6.30pm.
Dec 16	The Concert Band will play at the Victorian Arts Centre ‘s Christmas Morning Melodies, Concert Hall, Southbank, 11.30am and 1.30pm.
Dec 18	The Ceremonial Band will perform at the 1RTU graduation parade, RAAF Base Edinburgh, at 9am and the 2FTS Graduation Parade, RAAF Base Pearce, at 1.30pm
