New DRSC chairperson

A new national chairperson has been appointed to the Defence Reserves Support Council, the peak body providing support to Defence Reservists, their employers and the community.

Veterans Affair Minister and Minister Assisting the Minister for Defence Danna Vale announced the appointment of Leneen Forde at the recent DRSC National Council meeting.
Shane Stone QC will continue as Vice Chair,” said.

Ms Forde has had a distinguished and varied career, with involvements in many professional and community organisations. She is a former Governor of Queensland and Queenslander of the Year.

She replaces outgoing chairperson James Packer who has completed his two-year term.
