How to apply for 4J3 funds

A phased allocation of 4J3 funds will occur during the 2002-03 financial year and all approvals will need to be linked to Air Force capability.

To seek approval, unit executives are to contact their relevant command in the first instance to enable the command to determine the priority of the 4J3 request.

If the matter is deemed to be urgent and affecting capability, the Command is to contact DPO or DPA staff to determine whether the request is likely to be approved.

Once DPO or DPA staff confirm that the application should proceed, completed applications are to be processed to DRES-AF.

All 4J3 applications, without exception, are to be processed in accordance with these guidelines. Any applications that arrive at DRES-AF, that have not been staffed correctly, will be returned to the unit.

The relevant points of contact in relation to 4J3 approvals for command headquarters staff are:
DDPO AIROPS – Wing Commander Paul Willmot; DPO SPTOPS – Wing Commander Tony McDonald; DDPO LOGENG – Squadron Leader Al Wright; DDACM –- Wing Commander Bryan Teisserie; MACM - Squadron Leader Jeff Fairweather.

For queries in relation to 4J3 processing, contact Wing Commander Peter Davis, DDRPOL, DRES-AF, on (02) 6265 6406.
